The Chicago Blackhawks Win The Stanley Cup
The Blackhawks win. The 2010 Stanley Cup Champions came up on top 4 games to 2 over the Philadelphia Flyers. I’m sorry, was anyone watching this series? I was too busy watching the WWE of sports also known as the NBA. But I heard that it was a great series for Chicago. It was also a long time coming. So tell me Chicago, was it worth the wait? In any case, Congratulations Blackhawks.

Android vs. Apple
The new Sprint EVO was released over the weekend to fanfare and rave reviews…and concerns about the battery. Some of the disappointment stems from the short battery life suffered by some users who (gasp) use the phone for hours and wonder why it died. Here’s a clue, plug it in and recharge it after 9 hours geniuses. Also in the news, the new iPhone was unveiled (again) at the WWDC Keynote this week. New with the iPhone: Front Facing Camera, 5MP Camera with flash and the ability for multitasking! However at the moment multitasking is only expected to work with the calendar, web browser and clock. Oooo….can’t wait to see how exciting that will be. In all seriousness, if your current contracts are up, it’s never been a better time to invest in a smartphone.

The Wait Is Over
Apparently, Stephen Strasburg is the real deal. 14 Strikeouts in 7 innings of work. At times he just made the opposing batters look silly. Of course, let’s also remember that he was facing the Pirates. Here’s to what looks like a promising start to a great career in baseball. Of course we’ve heard these words before as well. Hopefully his success lasts longer than Kerry Wood or Mark Prior’s did.

USC Forfeits 2004 Season And Two Year Bowl Ban
This was hardly a surprise…and yet it was. The NCAA slammed the USC Trojans with a two year ban from bowl games as well as taking away 14 victories that they accrued in the 2004 season. Its not often you can go back in time and steal a win, I’m sure that Notre Dame fans will appreciate that God finally answered their prayers for the Reggie Bush shove assisted touchdown.
